About Me
aN Artist and wearer of many hats.
I was born in Warsaw, Poland. At a young age, I immigrated to Canada with my family. A couple of suitcases in hand. With only broken English, and a life well known left behind, I realized then I was a destined maker, something out of nothing. Although I quickly discovered, it is never nothing. There is always an idea, a fantasy brewing within waiting to be brought to the surface.
I am an old soul, who feels deeply. I am a traveler, both in my mind and spirit. I have an affinity for everything that is aged and weathered; cars, buildings, film, music, life.
I believe I was an ocean dweller, or perhaps a sailor lost at sea in a former life, as I long for the water daily. The ebb and flow, the smell, the movement, the uncontrollable, a place I feel alive and small in a very good way.
At home, you will almost always find me in the kitchen.
An inherited gift from a long line of strong women, I am instinctual over the stove. I am a mother of two beautiful souls. My wild, creative spirited daughter, and my son, the calming stone and the voice of reason. Forever my Loves.
Quiet evenings are few, however, when I have them, I savour them with music, ink, canvas, and a fine pour of Writers Tears. I relish a good laugh and curious company.
I have a deep affection for the underdogs and the renegades.
Inspired by the storytellers who speak their truths and wear their hearts on their sleeves. The kindred spirits who go to battle to stand up for what is just.
I value so much the journey with beings. The chaos, the mess, the strange, the absurd. All intertwined and threaded into one majestic piece we call life.
